Oldies v the kids

Not only had the young kids the stupidity to take on the old boys, but they also were naive enough to put money on it. The score was resounding victory for the old boys by double figures.

The crazy thing was that the oldies had an extra man but because of our individual and combined weight (i.e. Collie) the kids thought they could outrun us. With such arrogance and ill-placed self-confidence in the youth of the early noughties, was it any wonder the country went down the tubes a few years later? After all we did for them.
